You may link to the tutorial from your web site if you like without getting any further permissions. If you print the instructions, please keep the copyright and web site URL with it. Thanks!

Here are the instructions for making a wordless bracelet. I am not the originator of this bracelet. I have no idea who began the concept. The instructions are my own. I have used the colors of the wordless book, but if you just want to make a pretty bracelet to wear, you can use any colors you like. The thumbnail size pics do NOT lead to larger pics. You will get an error if you click on them. I thought these small pics were sufficient for this particular tutorial. If you feel the pics need to be larger, please let me know. I'm always open to making changes.

Gather your materials
1) pony beads (or whatever kind you like) in yellow, black, red, white, green, and blue,
2) about 15" leather or rawhide lace

2) Tie a knot in one end, keeping it loose in case you need to adjust it later

3) place yellow bead (representing gold) on the end opposite where you made the knot

Push it all the way to the knot

4) place black bead at same end as before and push toward the yellow bead

5) next is the red bead, place it at the same end and push toward the black bead

6) place the white bead on the leather lace and push toward the red bead

7) place the green bead on the leather lace and push toward the white bead

8) place the blue bead on the leather lace and push toward the green bead

9) tie a knot at the end where you just put the blue bead

10) adjust the knot so it ends up next to the last bead (adjust both knots so the beads are in the center of your lace)

11) wear on your wrist

12) or ankle

Now that you've completed the bracelet/anklet, what do you do with it? The purpose of the "wordless" items, whether it be a bracelet or book or afghan or anything else, is to explain in a simple way the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Each color stands for a part of the message.

Gold represents the golden streets and glory of heaven, where we will spend eternity with Christ if we believe in Him. God wants everyone to go to heaven.
In the Bible it says: “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Revelations 2:10

But we can’t get to heaven because of our sin, represented by Black, which separates us from God. In the Bible it says: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Red is for the Blood of Jesus shed on the cross for us.
In the Bible it says: “...while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom 5:8b

When we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and come into our hearts, our sins are washed away. We sometimes say we are now White as snow.
In the Bible it says: "...the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin." 1 John 1:7b

Blue represents baptism, being immersed in water to show our "death" and "resurrection" in Christ. Baptism does not save you, but we do it to follow Jesus’ example.
In the Bible it says: "
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John." Matthew 3:13

Green is for all growing things.  It represents growth as we study God's Word and become mature Christians. We can grow in the Lord by reading our Bible, praying, and attending church services.
In the Bible it says: "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18a

Some people add purple to their bracelets. Purple represents royalty. Jesus is our Lord and King.

Here is a little poem that might help to explain it better.
Permission is given to share the poem with those to whom you give a bracelet.

 I have a little bracelet,
 I keep it in my sight;
 For hidden in its colored beads
 Is a great delight.

 Each color holds a piece, you see,
 Of a story dear and true;
 And because I love the story so,
 I'm sharing it with you!

 GOLD is for the precious gold
 With which the streets are paved,
 In Heaven above, where all will go,
 If sure they have been saved.

 But saved from what, you may well ask,
 That too, my colors tell;
 BLACK is for our stain of sin,
 For which we merit Hell.

 But with the next bright color comes
 A message that brings joy.
 RED, the blood of Christ, was shed,
 For every girl and boy!

 His blood will cover all our sins,
 And wash us WHITE as snow;
 If we will just have faith in Him,
 And that, we all should know.

 BLUE is for our baptism,
 A sign of new belief,
 To show to the entire world
 We're turning a new leaf.

 Last of all, we come to GREEN,
 The color of things growing,
 As each of us shall grow in Christ,
 His glory overflowing.

 Now you know the gospel truth
 My bracelet's here to share,
 About the Christ who died for us,
 Our sin and shame to bare.

 And if you want to hear some more,
 The story more complete,
 Ask the one who shared with you
 For telling it's a treat!
