Patterns
Please see copyright notice. Briefly, you may not sell any pattern, but you may sell items made from the patterns if you agree to the terms. The pattern itself is never to be included with an item, only the copyright tag notice. This applies to both text and pictures on this site. Both are copyrighted.

A small additional note regarding copyright.
Ideas or techniques are not copyrighted. The pattern itself is copyrighted - this includes the instructions, the pictures, charts or whatever else is included in my particular version of the technique. My version, I will admit, is usually unique. LOL

I am responsible only for making corrections to patterns if such are found. I am not responsible for replacing an item you made with my pattern that didn't come out as you wanted it to or any other problem you have with my patterns. If there is a problem, simply let me know and I will work with you to resolve the situation.

For my free patterns, please click on the thumbnail picture of the pattern you want below. Patterns contain a larger picture.

With so many people viewing this site (thank you, thank you) I am so sorry that I don't have the time to search for patterns for you all. I get many requests for this or that pattern. I cannot give out patterns that are copyrighted. There are several ways to find patterns you are looking for: web search, join a crochet list, put a message on a message board, buy through Amazon or some other retailer, use your local library inter-library loan. Please note that any requests for patterns will be ignored.

Please do not post any of these patterns to your web site! Links are welcome though you may want to link to the main page http://www.crochetcabana.com as other links may change.

Respect bandwidth. If I give you permission to use something from this site, save it to your own computer and link to it from there.

Patterns are now in pdf format.
This is a free download. If you don't have it, you can get it by clicking the link below.
Note that when using Adobe Reader you can print out or save the document as well as view it online.

If you cannot read the pdf files, there is a pdf conversion at the Adobe site. It converts to html.
You will not get pics, but you will get all the text.

A note about patterns:
There are some things that are the same for each of my patterns. You will always need yarn (or ribbon or whatever material you're going to use), a hook, a needle for sewing in ends, and a good pair of sharp scissors. You should also have a trash can handy for those ends you're going to clip or a bag to save them in if you have another use for them. You might want a safety pin, paper clip, or plastic stitch keeper thingie to put in your last stitch so you don't come back to a project and find it is now an inch wide cos someone's foot got caught in the yarn. LOL Yes, that was my own foot that tracked yarn down the hall and into my bedroom. I personally now use Lil's Knot (see home page tutorials) to keep my work from unraveling.

I attach a tag to my project with the size of the hook I'm using, name of the pattern, any changes I've made to the pattern, and who the work is for. I also keep a copy of my pattern with my work (for my use only - do not give copies of copyrighted patterns to friends, including those you find online for free - they are still copyrighted).

I have a list of crochet supplies for the beginner if you need that.

I try to include the size and multiple on each pattern, but sometimes I forget. I do, however, show you how to figure the multiple on the Hints/FAQ page.

Choices: Depending on how tightly or loosely you crochet, you may want to:
1) ch 2 rather than ch 3 to bring new row to height.
2) use ch-2 to separate  corner shells in a granny.
3) use hdc rather than sc to join in granny squares that use this method as opposed to slip stitching over to the corner

Happy crocheting!

The latest patterns will be posted here with pictures.  The other patterns have been moved to their own page to decrease loading time for visitors who don't have a fast connection speed.

Please get the latest version of a pattern you would like to make as sometimes errors are found and corrected in the patterns. I have no way of knowing how many people have already saved patterns that contain errors and I'm not organized enough to remember to note there have been changes :-)

The buttons above were my first at the Cabana. I keep them for sentimental reasons. :-)
