This ghan was made for our dear friend
Bruce Baker for Christmas 1996. I used about 30 ozs worsted weight yarn and
an I hook. The completed afghan was 46" 75.
I THINK the pattern is
Coral Waves in the book Afghan Favorites
by The Needlecraft Shop, c1994, editor Loretta Blevins. It is on p. 18-19.
I'm not positive this is the pattern I used. The book pattern calls for 43
ounces of yarn in 3 colors. It is the afghan shown on the cover of the book.

I can't remember who got this ghan. In any
case, it took about 36 ozs worsted weight acrylic yarn. The pattern is
Colonial Ripple from the Second Big Book of Afghans.
It's a one-piece dc ripple.

This ghan was donated to the St. Mark fair booth where my MIL worked before
she passed away. The pattern is called Granny Ripples. I think this may have
been from Afghans magazine but not positive. |

This ghan was also donated to the St. Mark
fair booth where my MIL worked before she passed away. It used 26 ozs of
worsted weight yarn and an I hook. finished size was 40 x 60. Pattern is
Open Weave Afghan. Can't remember which
book or magazine this was in. Might have been one I borrowed from the
library at the time, but I'm not sure. We didn't have much money then so I
didn't have a lot of pattern books.

This ghan went to Connor Chancellor, new
baby son of fellow church member Phyllis Chancellor. I don't remember the
pattern |

This is another one of those I-don't-know
afghans. It's done in greens and white. That's as much as I can tell you.
*grin*

This is another one of those mystery
afghans. I know I made it for someone, but can't remember who. :-) I didn't
make any notations on the picture, so I also don't know which pattern or
yarn this is.

This afghan was given to my WONDERFUL
OB-GYN who took care of me while I was pregnant for Kate. I began the
pregnancy with a different doctor, whom I wasn't happy with, and changed to |

This was my first crochet sale about 1983.
I worked at Cox Cable in Customer Service (phones) and Kenny Scullen, one of
my co-workers, asked if I'd make two afghans for him to give as gifts. This
was a basic granny square. I don't recall who he gave it to but he seemed
pleased with the result.
I sold at least one other to Kenny but I
apparently don't have a picture or it is not labeled.

These were made at the request of my
friend, Karen. I made several afghans for Karen to give as gifts.
The pattern is the Beginner's Luck pattern, from Brunswick
leaflet #768 "Knit and Crochet Afghans". It uses 40 ozs of yarn. I
used 8 oz ea of 5 colors and an H hook. These were 52 x 70".
|

This one was requested by Karen for her
nephew in Pennsylvania. Pattern is Painted Desert from Quick and Cozy
Afghans, one of my favorite books. I used a K hook. This was done in July
1996. |

This is a baby afghan, a pink bib, and a
toilet paper holder. I don't know why they're pictured together. LOL Just
showing off, I guess. I also don't recall which sweet baby got this, but it
was long ago. I think the pattern may have been the Two Step Baby Afghan.
|

This was a baby gift for my niece. The
center square is done in afghan stitch with an elephant design done in
cross-stitch. The other squares are white and navy blue granny squares
worked in the traditional granny. At each corner I've pictured some baby
bibs I crocheted.
The pattern is the Daphne Coverlet from
Afghans magazine, Spring 1984

This is from a leaflet I had many years ago, probably
Leisure Arts. It is not squares, but a change of color every so many rows.
The joining is unique. I've never done another like it. As I recall, the
yarn was held to the front and alternated from one side to the other. |
