Step 10A-1

Puff Stitch complete

This picture shows the larger puff with 9 loops. At Step 9 if you repeated steps 7 and 8, this is what you would have.

This picture shows the next step in completing the larger puff stitch, using Method A shown above

This picture completes the larger puff using Method A

Finishing off the Puff Stitch - Method B

Step 10B-1

Here we have 7 loops on hook as in Step 9 above. YO (not shown)

Step 10B-2

Pull yarn through ALL loops on hook

Just to how you how the puff works next to other stitches, I've put a double crochet in the next stitch. This is not actually part of making the puff.

Puff Stitch complete

This is a row with 2 completed puffs,
one small and one larger, as seen from the front

This is the back of the piece, showing the two puffs.

When creating the puff stitch, you should be aware that the "puff" part appears larger on the back side. IMO this looks like it should be the "right" side, so I usually try to think ahead and make sure my puff are in the right order on that side, especially if I'm working a letter or design.
