BERRY STITCH

Rule

Berry Stitch

I have also heard this called Bead Stitch.

Instructions:
Insert hook in specified st, yo and pull through (2 lps on hk); (yo, pull through one loop) 3 times for a ch-3 (2 lps on hk), YO, draw through both lps on hook.

Arrow points to where the next berry stitch will be placed

insert hook in the specified stitch

yarn over and pull through (2 loops on hook)

chain 3

yarn over

pull through both loops - berry stitch made

When you make your next stitch, you will see how the berry stitch pokes out.

My personal opinion is that you can work the stitch so that the berry is on the working side or goes to the back, much like the popcorn which has a front and back version.
I prefer it to go to the back, though some consider the working side the right side.
