JOINING SQUARES
On this page: Lay your pieces right sides together, insert hook through the last stitch of both squares and pull through, draw through all loops on hook to make a slip stitch. You can work through back loop only (my preference) or through both loops, whichever you prefer. Continue making slip stitches, going through loops on both squares. The side facing you will look like chain stitches all in a row. :-) Secure at the last stitch and finish off. Sew in ends. Here's the pics:
Reverse Single Crochet Joining This joining uses a hook rather than a needle. It is worked the same as single crochet joining, except you will work from left to right. Refer to the page on reverse single crochet if you are unfamiliar with this stitch. Joining with this stitch is a bit more difficult and it is easy to miss a stitch on your back piece. Be sure that you have wrong sides together. IMHO, this is a decorative stitch and should be seen. However, I personally don't care for it as a joining stitch. I find it comes up too high.
